 Alright everyone, you are a valued member/staff member on this site. We all enjoy coming here, and I enjoy spending time planning for you all to enjoy and be friends. I'm glad that we're friends here and am glad we've been getting new members lately. This has been very good for the site.

However, not all is well in the Chamber. People are getting away with too many things, and the staff is too lenient. I am getting really sick of people badmouthing people, their beliefs, their activity, whatever. This is getting to the point where I'm disgusted and am not going to go through with any plans I have for this place, and I'm sure the other staff members (and some members) are getting sick of it too. This is going to end one way or the other. I'm not pointing fingers, because most people aren't safe, I know I'm not for not taking control of things sooner, but whether it be you all just learning to shut up and get along, or I have to give temporary bans on the chatbox and forums or kicks, the law of this place will be upheld.

Now before you complain in this topic and think that I'm an idiot for saying all this because it's the internet and doesn't apply to simple manners, you need to think about this truth. When you enter a society, you agree to live by its laws. You are born, you can either live in the society and follow the law, or be punished. You can also leave that society if you don't like the rules. Well it's the same here. When you register for this site, you agree to uphold our rules. Now everyone bends them sometimes, and slight things will probably just be WARNED, but if you continue to break our small society's rules, you better be prepared to face the consequences. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED HERE, FOLKS. You want to complain about something with the site? Send a PM to one of the sages. We're here to help, and enforce the rules; however, we're also here to be your friends because we love this site a lot.

I am truly sorry for all of you members who are always well-behaved and are liked, so you have nothing to worry about, but honestly, I'm sick and tired of all this crap that's going on. I come here to get AWAY from the things I don't like about about communities I have in real life, I don't want this place to be a disgusting swamp of horrible people.

As an administrator, I would not say this if there wasn't an upside. This month, we've been having a lot of activity, and I hope we do continue this. I have a good amount of things that we could do, and Waterfox has some ideas for some changes that will make this place even better, plus the upcoming Literature Club, and my third activity. We can have a lot of fun doing these all, too. I hope to implement something new each month after this one, actually. But you will not get this stuff if you continue the general behavior around here. Dislike me as much as you want, I will deprive some of the things I have been planning if you cannot simply show RESPECT for others. Honestly, it's not that hard, and if you can't do it here, good luck in the real world. But please, let us be able to have these things.

TL;DR: You all better start behaving, or you're going to be punished now. Don't like it? Too bad. We want to be your friends, but the staff needs to act like OBJECTIVE leaders here. Also, if you're good, you'll get fun things. AND DON'T YOU WANT FUN THINGS?!

 Kudos to Aco for typing this. As Admins, we really don't ask for much, but when we do, it's best to just accept our option. Our kicks and bans are always justified (except for the joke ones, which are only ever used in the lighthearted chatbox times anyways) and if you were the one causing the trouble, it's best to just accept it and move on. Threats about leaving the site etc. after you were banned only happen because you got mad from your ban and didn't get away with whatever you did.

As for the onlookers, it would make our lives easier if you didn't go into spam mode or start arguements with us after a ban. Things are chaotic enough if we need to ban and we don't need to add more gas to the fire.

Hopefully everyone gives this a thorough read and gets the message we are trying to get across.

 Problem is that everyone who comes here is getting away from something and acting in a matter that makes them feel better. Everyone needs to consider this. No one should be hurt just to make you happy.

 I had a feeling that something like this was coming. And I have to say, I'm thankful for it. It's not good for the site's reputation if there's occasional bullshit going on and it makes the place much less appealing for everyone. I hope this makes a difference, and I hope that I have been abiding by the rules and haven't caused any trouble. My apologies if I have.

If people's ways of "getting away from it all" or whatever is to make other people's lives miserable, then moderators have every right to punish them for it.

Yes. People are not going to be getting away with making other's time here miserable.

However, moderators and admins need to use their powers sensibly. We are not going to ban everyone for saying a swear or "TROLOLOLOLUSILLY" because that's power abuse. I'm sure there will be a homeostasis reached soon enough.
