Great GIMP tut for those starting out.

 Yes, I know it's six months early, no, I don't care. I made it, then I noticed it was red and green, which reminded me of Christmas, because those are Christmas colors, I think. I just HAD to put wacky Santa there. I probably won't keep it my sig very long, though.

I usually make all my stuff from scratch... Or near scratch.

That is a logo... I AM NOT TRYING TO ADVERTISE!

To make it all one color, go to Dialogs then Channels.

Select every color EXCEPT the color you do want it to be.
(This only works with .bmp images I think)

If you don't want it to be red, blue OR green, simply choose one color, go to "colors" and shift master hue. Do NOT change saturation or light.

 Actually gimp generally means one who limps, or one who is crippled. However, GIMP is an acronym for GNU Image Manipulation Program.
