Yes, there's only one good gen, 151 Pokemon, new ones look like robots, etc. What do you all want from the next Pokemon game?

Doesn't even have a DS anymore anyways I'd also like to say some of the newer Pokemon games were actually quite decent. Sure, there's a few Pokemon that are obvious copy-pastas, but the people clammoring about "teh originalz 151 > all" need to actually play the newer games instead of looking at vids and screenshots. The only thing the Original 151 has is the nostalgic value, otherwise it's a fairly plain generation of Pokemon. From the sounds of the article, it sounds like it'll be the same darned story and cycle, so I guess my hopes will be crushed. But I can expect the soundtrack to be good. Oh, and hopefully they improve Wi-Fi even more, with a random battle feature. Edited by Waterfox, Jan 29 2010, 05:22 PM.

There's a new Harvest Moon every half-year, Madden and the likes yearly, anything Capcom does has yearly-or-biyearly installments, a new major Final Fantasy every three. Nintendo even has a new 3D consoles Metroid, Mario, and Zelda after three and four years. Since DP, it'll have been five years. It seems like a lot are being made because of the separate versions (a staple) and the remakes/spinoffs, which the last few above also have by the bucketfuls. And because it's on the DS again, but the DS is not going away anytime soon. It just passed the GB/C family in sales, which there were also two (!) generations on, plus Pokemon Pinball etc. Not directed at you as such as the whole internet.
