Deeper gameplay doesn't always make the gameplay better. *insert reference*

In KH2, you got drives (new), reaction commands (also new), more magic abilities, limits (like Trinity Limit or one of Donald or Goofy's limits, for an example), and summons. Yet, it feels much more shallow than the first Kingdom Hearts, because KH2 pretty much comes down to constant x button usage and not much else, except maybe gummi-ship routes (one of the few improvements over KH1) and a handful of bosses and by that I mean Sephiroth (obviously), Xigbar, maybe Luxord, and Xaldin (the hardest Organization member imo). You can kind count the final boss to, but it's still more X than anything else. In KH1, there was more a reason for magic (especially Fire, Cure, Stop, Gravity (critical in solving a bunch of HB's puzzles/ "puzzles"), Aero, and maybe Blizzard). Actually, ignoring Thunder and maybe Blizzard, I can't think of a useless spell or un-beneficial spell. Oh, and there was those special and dodge roll that KH2 lacked.
'Sacred Moon Station" was a horrible choice in words. Delete it when you feel like it.

Then the gameplay of KH2 isn't deeper than 1 by your explanation. The big reason Brawl is said to have shallower gameplay compared to Melee is simply because you can't combo and because it is way too defense oriented.
GET AGAINST THE TREE!!!

It does make a game better when it's a fighter.

I also liked KH2's battle engine and stuff better. I hate Trinity limits though. I disagree though, the first one was also attack button mashing. The first also had an insanely hard Proud Mode which caused me to rage quit. I feel that KHII's Proud mode should have been its normal mode. I used magic more in the second than the first one.

Both are great games though. Re:Chain of Memories sucks apart form the story.
