Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's cabinet members have finally been revealed and, what must have shocked practically anyone with functioning ears or eyes, three women have secured positions.

If that wasn't enough of a shock, there will be a vote on a 21-member list at the end of the month that, if passed, would put women in charge of the country's health, social welfare and education ministries.

Do you think this is a legit attempt at equalizing the rights and social standing of women in Iran? Do you think the aforementioned list has any chance of passing?

Either way, this is good news at the moment.

I don't care much, really.

DID SOMEONE SAY META GAME???
I think this just may be something old Achmed's doing to get us to leave him alone for a bit. Remember people, this is the guy who said that there were no gay people in Iran. I doubt he cares that much about equality.

I also doubt his sincerity, but hey, at least they're on there for now. I'm looking forward to the results of the list. I don't have much hope for it passing.
