PS3 Slim Rumor?

There wasn't much better about it... Plus, you couldn't play really taxing games because it had no cooling unit. So, I'd look at its specs before you decide which is better. Any other time there's been a PSanything Slim, it's kind of failed in relation to the first, so they probably aren't expecting much this time. Like Robo said, I'd wait and see until you know whether or not it will melt from the inside-out.

I have a few games for my PS2 (not slim of course) which might causes a slim to overheat, so that sounds like a potential con if they made that mistake again.

I guess they'll slowly start taking the fat PS3 off shelves and replacing em with Slims. Sounds like this Slim doesn't have Backwards Compatibility. PS3 has also price dropped down to $300, which is pretty sweet. It might have a good Holiday season for sales! I'll probably pick a PS3 up while I'm on my trip. I'm going to see if I can find a used 60GB w/ BC though.

Sony discontinued the backwards compatibility feature on several versions of the PS3, and even discontinued a few versions themselves, if I recall correctly. Sony was the first to not have backwards compatibility across the board, not Nintendo. Actually, now that I think about it, Mircrosoft might have actually been the first to pull that with the jump from the Xbox to the Xbox 360. And you misspelled "compatibility". Furthermore, "plagiarize" would not technically be the best word to use in this instance, as it refers mainly to the stealing of literary work. Edited by Juggernaut, Aug 20 2009, 07:39 PM.
