Actually, I believe The Dark Knight did live up to its hype. As for Slumdog, personally, I didn't notice an ounce of hype for it, which is good since it could have potentially ruined the experience.
Same here. I noticed no hype about Slumdog Millionaire. I only really heard anything about after many people had seen it.

The Dark Knight, however, not only lived up to it's hype, but surpassed it. It was hyped because Ledger died, but his flawless transformation into his character launched the film past anyones expectations.
Fraid not, you're just a fanboy bandwagoner ;)

The Dark Knight's budget was so poor that they couldn't afford lighting for the film. Hut'damn it's overrated, lame dialog, lame makeup, lame character development. Could be the most overrated movie ever... Though it has to compete with the likes of Scream and the majority of Tim Burton's rubbish.
"Fraid not" is a little bit of a definitive reply to something tht relies entirely on opinion. You do not state with fact whether a movie was good or bad. You may or may not like it, but none can say it is good or bad with real reason.

The budget also says nothing about a movie. It's only a limitation, calm down. The lame dialog, makeup, and character development are also just more of your loud opinions.

But none of that matters. I think the point of me saying all this is tell you that your dislike of something does not let you get away with blindly slandering everything about it.

There's just something about the term "fanboy bandwagoner" that gets me fired up.

I generally don't like people who call others any form of "fanboy." I hope this is just a rare occurrence, Toul. :/

But yeah, Vaxis said it; you haven't really made any arguments so much as you made loud opinions.

Not arguing, just mocking all the bandwagoners. It's my persanol opinion that the Dark Knight is the most overrated movie ever.

When a movie not only lives up to its hype, but surpasses it, I think it's more than a bit silly to call it overrated. Have you even seen it? If so, what didn't you like about it? Just interested in discussion.

Judging by his post, I'd say he hated the dialogue, makeup, and character development.

Tolumax, you cannot mock people who don't think like you do. You said it yourself, it's your personal opinion. We don't share that opinion, that's that.

I prefer to be adressed as Chidori *erhm*.

If you disagree, that's fine but I thought it was waaay overrated and there are too many people who forcefully argue it's the best ever. At least on Youtube and it's easy to get confused between them and everyone else that simply likes the movie.

If you must know Balore, I hate the movie because the dialog is ridiculously silly and unnatural. I prefer original dialog as opposed to stuff like "The only way to be a hero is to become the Villain" and blah blah. Oh, as I previously stated on BB, I also thought the makeup was stoopid and seriously, the movie treats the Joker like he's the messiah.

For the record, I certainly don't think it's the best movie ever. It's not even in my top 10.

I'll admit that I didn't care much for that particular line either, but what are some other examples of the dialog being silly and "unnatural"? I'm just not seeing it.

The film was supposed to portray the Joker as a severely dangerous and feared criminal. You're letting the fandom get to your head. What's wrong with the makeup, and why would the makeup even matter?
